Solemn opening of the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Nghe An province

The 16th Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee was introduced and delivered a speech accepting its duties.

The Congress selected the theme: "Enhancing the core political role; promoting the strength of national solidarity; joining hands and unanimity to contribute to making Nghe An a fairly developed province, a national growth pole", with the slogan of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Breakthrough - Development".

The Congress has the task of comprehensively assessing the implementation results of the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress; pointing out outstanding results and remaining limitations; drawing lessons and proposing directions, goals, tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee set the goal of building the image of a "Front cadre in the new development era" who is professional, close to the people, has sufficient qualities, capacity, prestige, meets increasingly high requirements and tasks, always accompanies and catches up with the movement of the times.

The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee identified digital transformation as a "breakthrough" solution to continue to improve and streamline the organizational apparatus, innovate content and methods, and comprehensively improve the quality of the Front's activities in an effective and practical direction.

Innovate methods of gathering and mobilizing people in the digital space, develop the model of "digital community security map", promote interaction on the platform of "Digital Front"; strengthen social dialogue and people's monitoring, implement the model of "Community monitoring team in residential areas"; build "Self-governed, united, prosperous, happy" residential areas associated with the community digital technology team built by the government; promote the strength of the great national solidarity bloc.

Promote campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; perform well the tasks of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; promote democracy, conduct social supervision and criticism of national target programs in the province, prevent corruption, waste and negativity, participate in Party building, build a clean and strong government, contributing to the effort to make Nghe An a fairly developed province of the country by 2030, a national growth pole in the new era.

The Congress identified 15 specific target groups and 6 action programs for the 2025-2030 term with key goals, tasks and main solutions for implementation, thereby contributing to building Nghe An homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

At the first session held on the afternoon of November 20, the Congress consulted and elected 119 members to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 16th term (1 member was vacant); at the same time, elected 18 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term.

The members unanimously elected Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, to continue holding the position of Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XVI, 2025-2030. The conference also elected 8 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
