Immediately after landing at Nagoya International Airport and completing immigration procedures, the entire team was warmly welcomed by the local Organizing Committee and assisted in moving to the bus to continue the journey to the base.
After about two hours of travel, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team arrived at the hotel. The players quickly settled in, had a meal and rested to recover after the long journey.
In the afternoon of the same day, the Vietnamese women's team entered their first training session on the training ground in Hamamatsu City. The content focused on light exercises, endurance running, relaxation and getting used to the local weather conditions. The outdoor temperature was about 14°C, much lower than the climate conditions in Vietnam, requiring the players to need time to adapt.
Regarding the force, the Vietnamese women's team does not have the presence of defender Chuong Thi Kieu and midfielder Nguyen Thi Van because both are in the process of treating injuries and cannot return to competition.
According to the plan, the team will play three friendly matches during the training period in Japan, on November 24, November 26 and November 28, respectively, against the women's teams of Aichi Toho University, Shizuoka Sangyo University and Shizuuka SSU Bonita Club.
These are important opportunities for the coaching staff to evaluate performance, test the team's lineup and improve their skills, aiming to defend their achievements at the 33rd SEA Games.
