VN-Index fell for the second consecutive session under profit-taking pressure

On October 15, red dominated the stock market. Selling pressure spread across large-cap stocks, causing the VN-Index to fall below the reference level at times. Thanks to support from financial stocks, the VN-Index narrowed its increase towards the end of the session, closing down 3.11 points to 1,757.95 points.

Market liquidity reversed and decreased compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three floors reaching more than 1,323 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND 41,128 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on all 3 floors more than 899 billion VND, focusing on codesFPT (419.67 billion VND), KDH (262.43 billion VND), HDB (169.89 billion VND), VIC (79.96 billion VND), VGC (76.68 billion VND)...

In the opposite direction, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session included TPB (204.37 billion VND),SHB (201.6 billion VND), VCB (99.15 billion VND), GMD (78.29 billion VND), LPB (67.14 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 35,480 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by more than 8.24 points included: VPB, VJC, GEE, GEX, KDH, CTG, CRV, MBB, HDB, TPB.

On the contrary, the codes that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 10.23 points included: VHM, VIC, VCB, VPL, FPT, GAS, VRE, BID, GVR, MWG.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks had a negative performance, down 2.91%, mainly from FPT, CMG, ELC, ITD... Some codes increased including SBD...

The group of securities stocks this session leaned towards green, with an increase of 0.27%, mainly from codes SSI, VIX, VND, SHS, FUEVFVND, CTS, DSE, ORS, TVS, PHS... On the contrary, a few codes decreased including VCI, MBS, HCM, FTS, BSI, E1VFVN30, VDS, DSC...

Banking stocks traded in green and closed up 0.35%, mainly from CTG, VPB, MBB, LPB, HDB, SHB,VIB , TPB, EIB... Some codes decreased including VCB, BID, STB, SSB, ANB, EVF, PGB, TIN, SGB...

Real estate stocks this session were in red and decreased by 1%, mainly from codes VIC, VHM, VRE, BCM, KBC, SSH, TCH, SJS, NLG, IDC, SIP, SNZ... On the contrary, the codes increased including KDH, NVL, KSF, CRV, DXG, TAL, CEO, DIG, HDC, IJC, SCR...

Energy stocks this session were mostly green, down 0.12%, mainly from codes BSR, PLX, PVT, PVP, VTO, TMB, VTV... Declining codes included PVS, PVD, OIL, MVB, VIP, PVC, POS, PVB...

* The Vietnamese stock market index today had a mixed performance, VNXALL-Index closed up 3.06 points (0.1+%), to 3,035.11 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 1,232.35 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 39,340.03 billion. In the whole market, there were 135 stocks increasing in price, 89 stocks remaining unchanged and 227 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 276.12 points, up 0.79 points (+0.29%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 96.19 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND 2,435.58 billion. In the whole market, there were 58 stocks increasing in price, 63 stocks remaining unchanged and 89 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed up 1.59 points (+0.26%) to 607.03 points. Trading volume reached over 69.5 million units, equivalent to over VND2,435.58 billion. In the whole market, there were 10 stocks increasing in price, 5 stocks remaining unchanged and 15 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 112.32 points, down 0.83 points (-0.73%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 41.11 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 716.02 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 87 stocks increasing in price, 87 stocks remaining unchanged and 145 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 3.11 points (-0.18%) to 1,757.95 points. Liquidity reached over 1,186.59 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND37,977.13 billion. The entire floor had 120 stocks increasing, 54 stocks remaining unchanged and 200 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 4.05 points (-0.2%) and stopped at 2,009.64 points. Liquidity reached more than 574.34 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 20,824.09 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 12 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 15 stocks decreasing.
