Vietnamese eSports athletes are ready for SEA Games 32
Officially opening in Cambodia from May 5, 2023, the 32nd SEA Games is the third consecutive event to include eSports as an official medal competition. Of the 6 announced competitions, 4 are being published by VNGGames, including: PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift and VALORANT. Of which, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and VALORANT will compete in team format, while PUBG Mobile is expected to have 2 competitions: team and individual.
The pre-SEA Games friendly eSports tournament called SEA Esports Championship 2023 was successfully organized by VIRESA and VNG in March 2023.
The 32nd SEA Games is the first time Cambodia has hosted a Southeast Asian Games and also the first time a regional eSports tournament has taken place in this country. Therefore, together with VIRESA, VNG has actively supported the host country in organizing, operating and promoting the games published by VNGGames.
Specifically, VNG has coordinated with global eSports developers and organizations to promote competitions and adjust the schedule of eSport tournaments to avoid affecting the athletes' ability to compete, creating the best conditions for the 32nd SEA Games...
"We hope that the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia will continue to contribute to spreading the values of eSports as well as the spirit of solidarity and mutual support in coordinating the organization of eSports events in the region. This also demonstrates our commitment to promoting the eSports movement in all Southeast Asian countries," said Mr. La Xuan Thang, Director of Online Game Publishing of VNG.
Previously, at the 31st SEA Games, VNG was also a close partner of the Vietnamese eSports team.
