Volvo S90 2025 launched with a series of impressive upgrades

After refreshing the XC90 SUV line, Volvo continues to upgrade the new 2025 S90 luxury sedan with many improvements in design and technology.

First launched in 2016, the luxury Volvo S90 has asserted its position in the E-class sedan segment. However, after nearly a decade, this model is now facing the reality that the sedan market has been declining sharply, while SUVs are on the rise.

In particular, the US's strict tariff policy on imported models from China, where the S90 is manufactured, has forced Volvo to abandon plans to distribute the S90 in this large market. However, the new Volvo S90 2025 has not completely "lost its foothold".

This facelift is primarily aimed at the Asian market, with China being the first destination this year. Other markets will be selected by Volvo after assessing specific needs. The 2025 Volvo S90 has been redesigned to meet the demanding requirements of modern customers.

The front of the car impresses with a slimmer “Thor’s Hammer” LED cluster that extends all the way to the new grille. Along with that, the hood, front bumper, wheel arches and diamond-cut alloy wheels have all been refined, giving a stronger and more modern look. The taillights have also been changed to create a fresher feel, more in harmony with the overall design.

The interior of the S90 2025 is not only upgraded in design but also in technology. The car has a larger 11.2-inch central entertainment screen, along with the ability to update software over the network (OTA), giving the driver a convenient and modern experience.

Volvo also improved soundproofing and equipped a standard adaptive suspension system, providing a smoother and more comfortable driving experience for users.

Volvo continues to offer two engine options for the 2025 S90: a 2.0L mild-hybrid with front-wheel drive or a 2.0L plug-in hybrid with all-wheel drive. In particular, the plug-in hybrid can travel up to 80 km on electricity, providing flexibility for users.

For those who need a larger electric range, the all-electric ES90 will be an option. The price of the new Volvo S90 2025 has not been announced yet, the car may arrive in Vietnam this year.
