
At 10:20 a.m. on October 16, water flooded National Highway 1A, passing through Phu Loc Commune, causing difficulties for people and vehicles. Meanwhile, many roads in Hoa Mau Village and Villages 6, 7, 8, and Dong Luu were flooded, causing partial isolation since 6:00 a.m. on October 16, and the floodwaters are still rising rapidly.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Loc Commune (Hue City), said that heavy rain lasting from the night of October 15 to the morning of October 16 caused floods on local rivers and streams to rise rapidly, many roads were flooded, and the water flowed rapidly.
Currently, local authorities have directed schools to let students stay home and continue to monitor weather developments to proactively respond.

Meanwhile, according to Ms. Cai Thi Cam Huong, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Phu Loc commune, about 3,700 students in the area were given a day off from school from the morning of October 16. "For students who have already arrived at school, we require schools to only let students go home when their parents come to pick them up. In case no one comes to pick them up, they will be kept at school to ensure safety," Ms. Cam Huong added.
Phu Loc commune authorities have prepared forces to deploy response measures and protect people's safety.
