Previously, CAND Newspaper published news about Hanoi City Police temporarily detaining a group of "brokers" at the gate of the Central Maternity Hospital and fake doctor Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, causing public outrage.
Subject Nguyen Thi Thu Huong only studied intermediate nursing, but directly examined, tested, and prescribed medicine for patients at Thu Huong Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, located at 44 Tho Nhuom, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi to examine and treat obstetrics and gynecology diseases and perform ultrasound.
To serve the clinic's operations, Huong hired doctors to examine and treat patients and colluded with two "brokers" at the gates of the Central Maternity Hospital and K Hospital, Le Cong Ngoi and Nguyen Van Tam, to "catch" customers and bring them to the clinic.
In total, 27 patients were tricked by these subjects and brought to Huong's clinic, with the amount collected from the patients being 123 million VND. For each patient coming to the clinic, Huong paid Ngoi and Tam 10% of the total amount of money the patient paid.
The Hanoi City Police Department has detained the three suspects to investigate their violations of regulations on medical examination and treatment, production, preparation, dispensing, and sale of drugs or other medical services.
Faced with the above blatant fraud, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requested the Hanoi Department of Health to report on the assessment and issuance of an operating license for Thu Huong Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at 44 Tho Nhuom, Cua Nam Ward.
Urgently report on the inspection and supervision of the above clinic during its operation from the time of granting the operating license to the time of the incident.
Report to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management before 10:00 a.m. on July 14 for synthesis and reporting to the leaders of the Ministry of Health.
