The police recorded the information, extracted the camera and invited the owner and staff of the parking lot to the headquarters to work.

Regarding the case of the parking lot owner "ripping off" 100,000 VND/motorbike watching the parade as reported by SGGP Newspaper, on May 8, the People's Committee of District 3 (HCMC) issued a decision to administratively sanction Van Trung Public Service Trading Company Limited (No. 199 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3), with Mr. D.VT as the legal representative.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of District 3 fined the parking lot owner for two acts: Collecting parking fees higher than the prescribed price and selling goods and services not in accordance with the regulations of competent state agencies; not posting parking service prices in one of the forms prescribed by law. The total fine for the two above acts is 31.5 million VND.

Previously, social media posted a clip recording the content of a parking lot "ripping off" customers who parked their motorbikes to watch the parade at the parking lot on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street. When people took their motorbikes, the parking lot attendant demanded 100,000 VND/motorbike.

Police present at the parking lot

Authorities determined that on the evening of April 29 and early morning of April 30, many people took advantage of the opportunity to ride motorbikes to District 1 to watch the parade on the morning of April 30.

Because cars could not enter District 1, many people went to Mr. T's parking lot to park their cars. After the ceremony, people returned to the lot to get their cars and were "overcharged", charging 100,000 VND/car.

After understanding the situation, the police were present and invited the owner and staff of the parking lot to the headquarters to work.

Working with the police, the parking lot owner provided all the necessary documents; at the same time, he admitted that due to the high number of people parking and the high cost of hiring staff, he had increased the parking fee.
