No longer a rumor, on the afternoon of June 24, The Cong Viettel confirmed the completion of the contract with the Brazilian striker. Lucao is a familiar face to V.League audiences when he played for Hanoi , Da Nang and Hai Phong clubs. Last season, he scored 14 goals for Hai Phong, contributing to nearly 50% of the goals of the port city team in V.League 2024/25.

With a height of 1.84 m and an ideal physique, Lucao is highly regarded for his ability to press, create walls and finish in the penalty area. He is one of the three leading scorers of the season. The two players with Lucao holding the Golden Boot title are Alan of CAHN and Tien Linh of Binh Duong .
