Quang Ninh and the Vietnam Neurosurgery Association jointly organized a scientific conference on the topic: "Progress and challenges in neurosurgery: Perspectives from provincial health care and expert experience".
The conference received quality research papers, drawn from the practice of experts from Japan as well as leading hospitals in Vietnam, the Vietnam Neurosurgery Association. Many advanced techniques were also introduced such as: The effectiveness of the petrous approach in the treatment of cavernous hemangioma in the brain stem; surgery for meningioma of the sphenoid wing; surgical treatment of ruptured cerebral arteriovenous malformations; the effectiveness of bypassing the external carotid artery - vertebral artery segment V3... These are all specialized and complicated techniques in treatment, which are opportunities to save the lives of many critically ill patients.
As a provincial hospital that has been able to independently perform many moderate to difficult neurosurgeries in recent times, doctors from the Provincial General Hospital have also brought many presentations summarizing the implementation practices at the unit, the current situation and difficulties. In addition, many other in-depth professional issues have also been discussed, evaluated, and optimal solutions discussed. The conference is an important opportunity for doctors to exchange expertise, learn from each other, and continue to improve the quality of treatment in the field of neurosurgery.
