This is an annual activity of Region 3 at the beginning of the new year to respond to the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh 's launch of the "Tree Planting Festival" (1959 - 2024) and to implement the program of planting one billion trees "For a green Vietnam" launched by the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the launching ceremony in units throughout the Region, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien - Political Commissar of Naval Region 3 emphasized: Through the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho", it contributesto educating and raising awareness for officers and soldiers about the role and benefits of tree planting, creating shade, mitigating natural disasters, improving the environmental landscape, building increasingly regular, green-clean-beautiful barracks. At the same time, it creates an atmosphere and spirit of enthusiastic work in the unit right from the first days of the year.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 3 Command and units throughout the Region planted 459 new fruit trees, 3,257 shade and timber trees, 90 ornamental trees, 800 square meters of lawns and took care of the tree system, flower beds, and lawns.
