Due to land acquisition issues, some construction items for the Cay Bridge and access road on the Cam Giang district side cannot yet be implemented (photo provided by the site).

The project to invest in the construction of the access road to the new Cậy Bridge and the extension of the 33m road (through Cẩm Giàng district) connecting Vũ Công Đán road in Hải Dương City commenced in November 2024 and is expected to be completed in December 2025.

By early November 2024, local authorities had handed over 1.2 km of land out of 3.19 km; the remaining approximately 2 km of land had not been handed over by the end of February 2025. In areas where construction is not yet underway, many sections require treatment of weak soil, necessitating more time for embankment and settlement. Therefore, by mid-February 2025, the project was more than two months behind schedule.

According to the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the Cậy Bridge construction project is scheduled to be completed in March 2025; the Bình Giang district side has basically completed the abutments and is preparing to install the bridge girders. However, due to land acquisition issues, some other components of the bridge cannot yet be constructed on the Cẩm Giàng district side.

The project to invest in the construction of the access road to the new Cậy Bridge and the extension of the 33m road (the section passing through Cẩm Giàng district) connecting Vũ Công Đán road in Hải Dương City has a total investment of over 469 billion VND.

The project's investment scope comprises two sections: a 0.63 km section of the 33-meter-wide road connecting Vu Cong Dan Street in Hai Duong City, invested by Hai Duong City; and a 2.56 km section of the approach road to the new Cay Bridge, starting at the intersection with Provincial Road 394 at km 6+700 in Cam Dong commune (Cam Giang district); and ending at the beginning of the new Cay Bridge (Sat River overpass), approximately 2.56 km long. Phase 1 of the project includes a roadbed width of 24 meters, with the construction of interchanges, drainage, landscaping, lighting, signaling systems, and traffic safety measures.
