Vusta organizes the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's meeting with intellectuals

Speaking at the event, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh, Vice President of Vusta, said that on May 18, 1963, President Ho Chi Minh attended, spoke and assigned tasks to the Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectuals at the first Congress of the Vietnam Association for the Dissemination of Science and Technology ; and also 40 years ago, on March 26, 1983, Vusta was established with the first president being Professor, Academician, Major General, Hero of Labor Tran Dai Nghia.

During the process of construction and development, under the leadership of the Party and the management of the State, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations has become a large political and social organization of the Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectuals, achieving many important achievements, contributing significantly to the cause of national development and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Therefore, the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's meeting with intellectuals and the 40th anniversary of Vusta's establishment have great significance for the intellectuals in implementing the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State; demonstrating the Party and the State's attention, respect and recognition of scientific and technological intellectuals who have made many contributions to the cause of national development; at the same time contributing to raising awareness of all levels, sectors and the whole society about the position and role of the intellectuals and Vusta.

According to Master Le Thanh Tung, Head of Vusta's Communication and Knowledge Dissemination Department, the 40th Anniversary of Vusta's Establishment will be held on the morning of March 24, 2023 in Hanoi, with the participation of about 500 delegates including leaders of the Party, State, representatives of agencies of the Party, National Assembly, Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front, Committees, ministries, branches, central agencies, leaders of provincial and municipal Party Committees directly under the Central Government, research institutes, universities, science and technology enterprise groups, representatives of 93 national industry associations and 63 provincial and municipal associations under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations system and related agencies and units.

In particular, at the ceremony, Vusta will award the First Class Labor Medal to 1 collective and 1 individual; the Prime Minister 's Certificate of Merit to 3 units and 4 individuals; and express gratitude to the officers and scientists who have made many contributions to Vusta.
