Can Tho has more than 13,700 candidates taking the high school graduation exam in 2025

(Dan Tri) - According to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, the city has more than 13,700 candidates registered to take the 2025 high school graduation exam.

On the afternoon of June 19, the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) of Can Tho City held a press conference to inform about preparations for the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, said that this year, the city has more than 13,700 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam. Of these, 459 candidates will take the exam under the 2006 general education program and more than 13,300 candidates will take the exam under the 2018 general education program.

Can Tho has arranged 26 official examination sites, with 593 examination rooms; there are 9 backup examination sites.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, to prepare well for the exam, right after the end of the main curriculum, high schools organized review sessions for students.

Schools coordinate with agencies, organizations, and localities to mobilize social resources to support meals, drinking water, learning tools, and scholarships (for students in difficult circumstances and poor households) for candidates during exam days.

Can Tho City Youth Union also launched an exam support program to support candidates. Up to now, 294 students have received scholarships worth more than 323 million VND.

"Up to this point, the city has basically prepared all the conditions to organize the exam safely and in accordance with regulations," according to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City.

Also at the press conference, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, sent her best wishes to the journalists. Ms. Dung emphasized that the press plays an important role in propagating the policies of the Party and State, including activities in the education sector.
