Windows 11 version 25H2 is now available in the Release Preview channel, the final step before general availability. Microsoft says this update doesn't bring any exclusive features to Windows 11 24H2.
Instead, both share a common service branch and receive the same improvements under a continuous improvement mechanism. The biggest change is that Windows 11 25H2 will remove PowerShell 2.0 and the outdated WMIC tool.
Since these two features are rarely used, removing them won't have much of an impact on the overall experience. 24H2 users only need to download the activation package to upgrade, the installation process is quick with one reboot. Microsoft claims compatibility is guaranteed, all apps and games will work normally after the upgrade.
25H2 is expected to be widely released in late September or early October, but users need not rush because 24H2 will still be supported until 2026. Dear readers, please watch more videos : From January 1, 2026, digital products created by AI must have identification marks | Nhan Dan Newspaper
