According to CBS television on the evening of August 23 local time (morning of August 24 Vietnam time), a shooting occurred at Cook's Corner bar, a biker bar in Trabuco Canyon, Orange County, California, USA.

At least 10 people were shot at the bar, according to reports. Video from the scene showed at least three people dead. The shooter was shot and killed by police. The Orange County Sheriff's Department said the shooter was a former law enforcement officer. Police asked people to stay away from the area.
According to the non-profit organization Gun Violence Archive, since the beginning of the year, the US has witnessed at least 465 mass shootings (a concept that refers to incidents in which at least four people are shot, not including the shooter), the highest number recorded in the same period since 2013.
