Van Ninh commune suffered a lot of damage due to floods.

According to the report of Van Ninh Commune People's Committee, the flood from November 16 to 22 submerged 413 houses, 106 households with 298 people had to be evacuated to a safe place. Regarding infrastructure, the flood damaged nearly 1.4km of roads, nearly 1.8km of 12 irrigation works, 1 water supply work...

Regarding production, the floods submerged more than 1,385 hectares of rice, more than 7 hectares of crops; more than 22,000 poultry were swept away; damaged 0.8 hectares of ponds, 12 near-shore aquaculture rafts; 4 ships were damaged... During the floods, Van Ninh commune also provided adequate food, necessities, and ensured living conditions for people at shelters. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune also presented more than 400 gifts along with food and necessities to people in flooded areas.

A section of road in My Dong village was eroded due to flood.

By November 24, the entire Van Ninh commune had normal electricity supply, the water supply works had been temporarily repaired to provide water to the people; currently, local farmers are focusing on taking care of flooded rice.
