Truong Luu is a famous cultural land with many historical relics, especially 3 heritages recognized by UNESCO as World Memory Heritage of the Asia - Pacific region including: Han Nom documents of Truong Luu village, Hoang Hoa su trinh do and Phuc Giang School woodblocks. In order to preserve and promote the value of the heritages, in 2020, Truong Luu Cultural Center was established.
After implementing the 2-level local government model, the center was handed over to the People's Committee of Truong Luu commune for management, directly under the Department of Culture and Society's responsibility for operation.
To promote the effectiveness of the center's operations, the locality has recently invested in renovating the sports field in the campus, repairing the signboards, electricity and water systems, and a number of related items, with a total estimated cost of about 500 million VND. The Department of Culture and Society has also arranged permanent staff at the center to guide, introduce and welcome visitors.
With the investment in upgrading and improving operations, since the implementation of the 2-level local government, the center has welcomed many delegations to visit and learn about culture with more than 500 people including: children of the homeland, teachers, students of schools and tourists from inside and outside the province. These positive signals show that the center is gradually becoming a cultural activity address, contributing to connecting the community and spreading the traditional values of Truong Luu.
The investment and completion of the center is not only meaningful in preserving and promoting cultural heritage but also creates a space for traditional education for the younger generation, contributing to fostering the cultural identity of the local people. At the same time, it opens the way to build Truong Luu into a cultural destination for tourists and heritage lovers.
In the coming time, in addition to promoting and attracting tourists from inside and outside the province, the center strives to maintain welcoming 2 to 4 groups of students each month to visit, study and experience in order to improve the effectiveness of traditional education and promote Truong Luu culture.
