The pickleball tournament "Dan Tri 20 years - Bright new days" took place on July 5 and 6 in Hanoi , gathering 574 athletes to participate. The Organizing Committee said that all fees collected from athletes (at 500,000 VND/person) will not be used to cover the organization costs but will be used to support the construction of 5 Charity houses, helping 5 households with especially difficult circumstances in Cao Bang.

The final match of the men's doubles category 5.5 of the Dan Tri Pickleball Tournament took place between the pair Le Dang Khoa - Le Phu and Tran Ngoc Tuan - Tran Le. Contrary to expectations, the U50 pair Tran Ngoc Tuan - Tran Le could no longer maintain good health when entering the final match.

They had played continuously, with a high frequency before the match. Therefore, they could not withstand the youthful strength of the pair Le Dang Khoa - Le Phu. The match ended quite quickly with a score of 15-3 in favor of Le Dang Khoa - Le Phu.

Sharing after winning the championship, athlete Le Dang Khoa appeared extremely happy. He said: “I cannot describe my feelings right now. I am extremely happy to participate in such a big tournament and win the championship.

The two brothers coordinated well and played very well today. This is the biggest tournament among the grassroots tournaments that I have participated in. I am very happy to compete with very strong opponents. Sincere thanks to the organizers for creating a great playground.

“It is a long journey to reach the final. The teams have to play 7-8 matches. We are also lucky to be young. Our opponents are old but they played their best.”

Athlete Le Phu shared: “I am very happy to participate in the Dan Tri pickleball tournament. This is a very large-scale tournament, with careful preparation. The media aspect of the tournament also impressed me. Today, we competed in two events 6.5 and 5.5. Fortunately, the two brothers won the championship in the 5.5 event.

I would like to thank the organizers for creating a playground for the athletes. I feel sorry for the opponents. They are old and their physical strength is not guaranteed. That makes them unable to perform to their full potential.

We will try to practice to reach a higher level, maybe participate in the Open or 6.5 tournament organized by Dan Tri newspaper in the future."
