Ho Chi Minh City leaders participate in Pickleball tournament to support people in flood-affected areas

On October 5, at the DICERA Pickleball Court (Ba Ria Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the Department of Culture - Society coordinated with the Department of Economics - Budget of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council to organize the first Pickleball tournament - 2025.

The tournament is a practical activity to welcome the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2025); at the same time, to mobilize cadres, party members and people to actively participate in the sports movement following the example of great Uncle Ho; at the same time, to create a useful and healthy playground, contributing to improving health and building grassroots cultural life.

Mr. Cao Thanh Binh - Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council participated in the competition.

Not just a normal sports activity and competition, the tournament also creates opportunities to connect, share, spread joy in sports; train, improve physical and mental health.

The tournament was attended by more than 70 athletes who are leaders, former leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of departments, localities, agencies and businessmen in the city. The athletes competed in 9 groups with 2 events: Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The Organizing Committee awarded the athletes.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded trophies to the tournament's accompanying units; presented trophies, medals, and gifts to the pairs that won the first, second, and third prizes, as well as style prizes and secondary prizes to the athletes.

Also through the tournament, the Organizing Committee received donations of 50 million VND to support people affected by natural disasters and floods.
