Accordingly, Group B of the U22 Vietnam, U22 Laos and U22 Malaysia teams from Songkhla will be transferred to the capital Bangkok and compete at Rajamangala, Thailand's national stadium. Thus, Groups A and B will compete on the same field with a frequency of 2 matches per day. The match schedule has not been announced but is likely to remain the same. U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Laos on December 4 and meet U22 Malaysia on December 12.
This decision gives U22 Vietnam an advantage because the team does not have to travel far. And the coaching staff can "check out" potential opponents in Group A. It is not impossible that coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will meet a representative of Group A in the semi-finals.

It can be said that Group B has seen the most disruption in the match schedule. Initially, perhaps to avoid letting U22 Vietnam or U22 Malaysia "read the script", Thailand moved Group B from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (nearly 700km away in the North). Then, the organizing committee moved Group B to Songkhla, nearly 1,000km away from Bangkok in the South.
But due to the impact of floods, Songkhla province has withdrawn its name from the host localities of SEA Games 33. And the final plan is that the U22 Vietnam match will take place in Rajamangala, Bangkok.
In addition, the 33rd SEA Games organizing committee also set new venues for sports that were recently moved from Songkhla.
