On the afternoon of November 28, the leader of the People's Committee of Cong Hai commune said that the authorities are mobilizing maximum means and human resources to participate in the search for the fishermen in distress.

Initial information, at about 7:30 p.m. on November 27, fishing boat NT90329TS captained by Mr. NVT (49 years old, residing in Dong Hai ward) was sunk by large waves in Binh Tien sea area, 300m from shore. On board were 5 fishermen fishing with trawl nets, 2 fishermen swam to shore safely, the remaining 3 people are missing.

In the early morning of November 28, upon receiving the news, the Binh Tien - Vinh Hai Border Guard Station Working Group ( Khanh Hoa Border Guard) dispatched a high-speed canoe with 6 officers and soldiers to the scene; at the same time, coordinated with Binh Ba Border Guard Station, local authorities and fishing boats operating nearby to participate in the search.
At 1:30 p.m. on November 28, the rescue team continued to expand the search area around the sunken ship and surrounding waters. The deployment encountered many difficulties due to bad weather, big waves, and strong winds.
