Lao Cai Department of Industry and Trade: Promoting digital transformation and technology application in combating counterfeit goods and trade fraud

On November 27, the Department of Industry and Trade of Lao Cai province coordinated with the Institute for Strategy and Policy Research on Industry and Trade (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to organize a training conference to improve capacity on digital transformation and innovation for managers and the business community in the area.

The training conference is within the framework of implementing the Project on restructuring the industry and trade sector for the period up to 2030.

Attending the training conference were representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, specialized departments, the Market Management Department and representatives of associations, enterprises and cooperatives in the province.

At the conference, lecturers from the Institute for Strategy and Policy Research in Industry and Trade directly communicated and discussed in depth on 2 topics:

One is digital transformation in industrial production, focusing on analyzing solutions to apply digital technology to the production process, from raw material management, operating automated lines to optimizing the supply chain.

Second , the application of science and technology in combating counterfeit goods and trade fraud - a content that attracts special attention from market management forces and businesses protecting brands.

Through this, business representatives have had access to advanced management models and tools that help reduce costs, improve productivity and meet the strict standards of the global value chain. At the same time, experts shared about methods of identifying counterfeit and fake goods using high technology; digital solutions and tools to support authorities in detecting and handling violations in the e-commerce environment.

Also at the conference, delegates discussed and exchanged directly with experts about practical problems in the locality and received satisfactory answers, opening up new directions in applying technology to management and production practices.

Through the training conference, the team of cadres, civil servants and businesses were equipped with new knowledge and thinking, ready to proactively and successfully implement the goal of restructuring the industry and trade sector, contributing to promoting rapid and sustainable socio -economic development in the digital age.
