The seminar was also attended by representatives from several central ministries and agencies, as well as experts and managers in the field of culture.
Speaking at the seminar, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized that, following the Politburo 's directive and assignment of tasks, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has identified this as a particularly important task, requiring urgent coordination with relevant agencies to develop the outline and draft Resolution.
The Deputy Minister stated that, entering a new era, the domestic context and international changes have created demands for the development of a new Resolution aimed at creating space and unlocking resources for cultural development. The Resolution, once issued, will demonstrate the Party's special attention to the development of Vietnamese culture.
The Deputy Minister stated that in order to draft the Resolution, the members of the Drafting Committee and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism focused on studying the entire system of Party documents, resolutions, and the 1943 Outline on Vietnamese Culture.
“During the research process, the members of the Drafting Committee found that many viewpoints and tasks should be inherited in the new Resolution. However, for some tasks that cannot yet be implemented, it is necessary to promptly research and identify bottlenecks in order to find appropriate solutions,” Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh stated.
According to Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, although awareness of the importance of investing in and developing culture has increased in recent times, it has not yet met expectations.
Furthermore, the story of building a cultural environment; developing the cultural industry; integrating internationally in culture while remaining steadfast in preserving national cultural identity and selectively absorbing the best of human culture… although many achievements have been made, some shortcomings stemming from practical realities still exist.
The issue of unlocking resources for cultural development, even flourishing development, is receiving special attention from the Party and the State and must be concretized through this Resolution.
Therefore, Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh hopes that the opinions expressed at the seminar will reflect dedication and concern for the development of the country's culture. The goal is to finalize the draft Resolution according to the set schedule and quality standards.
The content and solutions outlined in the draft must be accurate and relevant, addressing bottlenecks in cultural development; focusing on breakthrough solutions and creating spaces for cultural growth.
At the seminar, delegates affirmed that the drafting of the Politburo 's Resolution on the Revival and Development of Vietnamese Culture in the New Era is of strategic importance, aiming to affirm the key role of culture in the sustainable development of the country. The resolution, once issued, will contribute to defining the direction, long-term vision, and strategy, creating breakthroughs for cultural development.
In addition, delegates focused on contributing opinions on the key contents of the draft Resolution, the approach to the issues, and the analysis of the context. They also proposed many solutions to raise awareness of the role and position of culture in national construction and development; to remove institutional and resource bottlenecks; and to suggest breakthrough solutions in governance and investment in culture…
Appreciating the contributions made at the seminar, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh requested the members of the Drafting Committee to study and incorporate the feedback.
The Deputy Minister assessed that these were all heartfelt opinions aimed at the development of national culture in the new era. The Deputy Minister also hoped that the delegates and experts at the seminar would continue to cooperate with the Drafting Committee in the process of building and finalizing the draft Resolution in the future.
