Looking towards the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers and 2027 Asian Cup, the Vietnam national team will gather again on June 7, after finishing round 11 of V-League 2023.
Vietnam national team to gather for friendly match in June
In this gathering, the Vietnamese team will have an international friendly match with the Hong Kong team (China) on June 15.
This is also the first international match of the Vietnam team under the leadership of new coach Philippe Troussier.
During the V-League matches, coach Philippe Troussier and his colleagues will split up to go to the stadiums to monitor the performance of the players as well as look for new players to call up to the team's training list.
Currently, the Vietnam Football Federation has begun to carry out the necessary work to organize the match as well as develop a ticket issuance plan to serve fans.
The match venue will be announced later by the Vietnam Football Federation.
According to the schedule, in addition to international friendly matches during FIFA Days in June, September and October, Coach Troussier and his team will play two matches in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers and the 2027 Asian Cup, on November 13 and November 21, respectively.
Vietnam's opponent will be determined after the draw results next July.
