1,800-year-old 'alien corpse' on display at Mexican Congress

According to USA Today, the remains of creatures believed to be “non-human” were displayed before the Mexican Congress by a UFO expert who previously presented alien discoveries that were later disproved.

The “non-human beings,” with their small bodies, three-fingered hands and elongated heads, look like something out of a Hollywood blockbuster about an alien invasion. But if UFO researcher Jaime Maussan is to be believed this time, the specimens he showed to Mexican lawmakers are real.

Admittedly, some of Maussan’s previous claims have been proven false. However, earlier this week, the prominent journalist and UFO expert appeared before Mexican lawmakers to present what he claimed were two ancient alien corpses, “not human.” He said the remains were found in 2017 in Cusco, Peru, and were later radiocarbon dated to be up to 1,800 years old.

Mr. Maussan's seemingly wild claims, which were not supported by third-party evidence, came during a hearing on UFOs in the Mexican Congress . UFOs are now known to the U.S. government as UAPs, an acronym for "unidentified anomalous phenomena," a general term used to describe objects spotted in the air, sea and space that are difficult to explain.

During the hearing, Jamie Maussan brought two boxes containing what he said were stuffed alien bodies found in Peru in 2017. He said carbon-14 dating by the National Autonomous University of Mexico determined the remains were 700 and 1,800 years old. Each specimen had just three fingers on each hand and an elongated head, similar to the Hollywood character ET.

X-rays of the specimens were also presented during the hearing. Experts who testified stated that one specimen had what appeared to be an egg or ovary, while the other had implants made of rare metals, such as Osmium.

This is the first time that extraterrestrial life has been demonstrated in such a form, and I think there is clear evidence that we are dealing with non-human specimens, unrelated to any other species on our world,” Maussan testified in Spanish.

The hearing is to debate the language on UFOs in the Space Protection Law. Reuters news agency quoted local media as saying that if this language is approved, Mexico will become the first country to officially acknowledge the presence of extraterrestrial life that once existed on Earth.

Maussan said the fossils were found in mines in Cusco, Peru, in a layer of diatomaceous earth, or ancient phytoplankton algae. He said the National Autonomous University of Mexico conducted tests on the specimens, revealing that more than 30 percent of the specimens' DNA was "unidentified," suggesting that they "are not part of our terrestrial evolution."

Who is Jaime Maussan?

Maussan is an investigative journalist who has been researching extraterrestrial phenomena for decades.

But if his latest claims prove false, it wouldn't be the first time.

The UFO researcher, who regularly appears in Mexican media to present his supposed findings, has previously been linked to claims of alien sightings that have since been disproven.

This file photo released by the Mexican Congress press office shows Mexican journalist and UFO researcher Jaime Maussan speaking before the Mexican Congress on September 12.

In 2015, Mr. Maussan revealed the existence of a specimen believed to be an alien body unearthed in Nazca, Peru. However, the “alien” discovery was later debunked as the alleged mummy of a child with a deformed head, according to fact-checking website snopes.com.

In fact, such elongated skulls are often interpreted by anthropologists as the result of an ancient method of artificial cranial deformation. According to snopes.com, as part of ancient religious rituals, young children were bound with cloth, rope, and even wooden planks as part of the ritual.

UFO, UAP "Blooming"

Earlier this year, Mr Maussan also claimed that a photo of an alleged UFO hovering over the FC Juárez football stadium showed “a craft of non-human origin”.

“I share that the incident was analyzed by AI equipment and everything indicates that we are facing an unidentified anomalous phenomenon ‘UAP’, (Kiev) scientists call these ships ‘Ghosts’ because they are dark objects,” Maussan tweeted.

Mexico's hearing on UAP comes about two months after the US Congress held hearings to learn more about the UAP phenomenon.

Former Navy pilot Ryan Graves, one of three veterans who testified at the July hearing, also appeared on September 12 to speak to Mexican lawmakers. Graves, now executive director of Americans for Safe Aerospace, has long been outspoken about the dangers military pilots face in U.S. airspace during encounters with mysterious objects that fly in ways that appear to be beyond human technological capabilities.

Former US intelligence official David Grusch also testified in July before the House Oversight Subcommittee about his knowledge of a secret Pentagon program to recover and study spacecraft.

Mr. Grusch, a former member of the National Reconnaissance Office, which operates America's spy satellites, also accused the government of hiding the program from Congress and embezzling funds to operate it.

Legal constraints on discussing classified information have prevented Grusch from providing concrete evidence of such a program, whose existence the Pentagon has repeatedly denied. But in a bipartisan effort, members of Congress have pledged to seek more information about what the military and federal government know about UFOs or UAPs.

In an effort to shed light on this often mysterious subject, the Pentagon's UFO investigation office on September 1 launched a new website where the public can access declassified information about reported UFP cases.

The office was created after the Office of the Director of National Intelligence identified 144 military UAP encounters since 2004 in a preliminary assessment released in June 2021. That number jumped this year to more than 500 reports of military UAPs, many of which could not be explained as natural phenomena like drones or weather balloons.
