Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 50 regulating the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels in Vietnam.

This Circular stipulates the roadmap for applying the blending ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels in Vietnam, specifically stipulating the blending and mixing ratio of biofuels with traditional fuels, the roadmap for applying the blending and mixing ratio, and using biofuel for gasoline engines.

Specifically, from June 1, 2026, unleaded gasoline (according to current national technical regulations) must be blended and prepared into E10 gasoline for use in gasoline engines nationwide.

Thus, compared to the previous proposal, the roadmap for switching to E10 gasoline is 6 months slower. Previously, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed that from January 1, 2026, all gasoline blended, mixed, and sold for use in gasoline-powered motor vehicles nationwide would be E10 gasoline.
