Among the 100 delegates honored this year, the oldest delegate is 61, the youngest is 22 years old. There are 10 delegates who have donated blood 19-29 times, 60 delegates have donated blood 30-49 times... Delegate Ho Kim Phuong (HCMC) shared that she has donated blood every 3 months since 1997. Her family has 4 members, the total number of blood donations of the 4 members is more than 250 times and will continue to donate blood until they are no longer eligible.
Listening to the delegates' sharing, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said he was particularly impressed by the fact that there were people who had donated blood 80, 90, or even over 100 times. Praising the voluntary blood donation movements across the country and in many fields and professions, according to the Prime Minister, many young people participating in the "Donate blood to save lives" journey not only had more beautiful memories but also became more mature, gained more life experience, and aspired to contribute more and more to the community, society, and country.

You are truly living proof, shining examples of good people and good deeds," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Although the blood donation movement has spread strongly in the community, the need for blood in society is still very large. There is still a shortage of blood in many places. In some places, the movement is still weak, the number of blood donors is still low, such as mountainous areas, remote areas, border areas, and islands. Therefore, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation to review, complete, and supplement relevant regulations to better implement the regime and policies for voluntary blood donors; continue to consider and resolve difficulties and problems related to voluntary blood donation.
The Prime Minister also noted that the above agencies have practical and specific solutions and activities to continue to promote more effectively the work of mobilizing voluntary blood donation; paying special attention to the quality, safety and sustainability of voluntary blood donation activities. Strengthening and building stable, adequate and safe blood donation points and blood banks; proactively regulating blood nationwide to ensure reasonableness and science to serve patients.
