On the morning of October 15, Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company coordinated with the blocks of Le Loi ward and Dong Vinh ward (Vinh city) to launch the movement "Train road - Flower road" and launched and signed a commitment to build the model "The road section that local people and the Railway take care of together from km 319+400 - km320+450".
Attending the program, on behalf of Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR), there were comrades: Mai Thanh Phuong - Chairman of Vietnam Railway Trade Union (VNR); Do Van Hoa - Head of VNR Trade Union's Professional Department; Pham Hung Hien - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of VNR. On behalf of Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company, there were comrades Tran Van Ke - Director of the Company; Le Ngoc Sang - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union; professional leaders, Trade Union, Youth Union, union members, and employees of the Company.
On the local side, there were comrade Ho Duc Viet - Secretary of Vinh City Youth Union; leaders of Le Loi and Dong Vinh wards; and cadres of the residential blocks.
Speaking at the program, comrade Tran Van Ke - Director of Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company said that the Company performs the task of maintaining and repairing railway infrastructure, with a length of 147.5 km of railway on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route and 30 km of Cau Giat Nghia Dan railway, passing through the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh from km 257+500 to km 405+000.
The area stretches through many residential areas, the density of level crossings, residential roads, and self-opened paths always pose a potential risk of causing unsafe train operations. The situation of ensuring security and order, and violations of railway traffic safety corridors on the route is still complicated.
Over the years, the Government has issued Directives and Resolutions on ensuring traffic safety, Vietnam Railways Corporation has launched many movements such as: "I love my hometown railway", "Youth protect the railway", "The road that grandparents and grandchildren take care of together"; Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company has been active in propaganda work on railway traffic safety, however, there are still cases of households encroaching on railway corridors, railway traffic accidents occurring with serious consequences, causing damage to the economy and human lives.
To strengthen the work of ensuring railway traffic safety in the management area, continue to promote the movement "Train Road - Flower Road", Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company cooperated with blocks 11, 12, 13 of Le Loi ward and Vinh Thanh, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Quang blocks of Dong Vinh ward to establish a self-management model "Road section taken care of by local people and Railway together"
Through this model, the Company and the locality hope to propagate and raise awareness among the people about ensuring railway traffic safety. At the same time, set specific goals such as: No more railway traffic accidents due to trains hitting or hitting people; no more throwing rocks and soil onto trains, stealing railway materials and supplies; no more encroachment on safety corridors, dumping waste on both sides of the railway, ensuring the landscape and environment, deploying tree planting, protection and care; promptly reporting and detecting acts of sabotage to the railway industry and relevant agencies; further expanding the self-management model to localities and mass organizations where railways pass through.
Company leaders, local authorities and representatives of block cadres signed a commitment to join hands and coordinate effectively to implement the model "Local people's road and railway take care of together".
Praising Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company for proactively and actively implementing and promoting the "Trainway - Flower Road" movement, building the model of "Local People's Road and Railway Take Care of Together", Comrade Mai Thanh Phuong - Chairman of Vietnam Railway Trade Union shared that the "Trainway - Flower Road" movement is a great political determination of the Party Committee of Vietnam Railway Corporation, with the goal of building a friendly and sustainable railway brand, becoming a tourist highlight, attracting domestic and international tourists to Vietnam. The movement is basically implemented according to the socialization model and is determined to be successfully implemented within 3 years, from March 2023 - March 2025.
He thanked the authorities and Youth Unions at all levels of Vinh city for their attention, support and responsibility in joining hands with railway units located in the area.
After the launching ceremony, the program participants planted flowers at km320+050, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.
