
Having a booth at the recent Farmers’ Congress of Binh Phuoc Ward, the agricultural products of Hoang Anh Binh Phuoc Cooperative attracted many people’s attention. Currently, the cooperative’s cashew products are being built according to the export standard model to participate in foreign markets.
Starting to participate in the cashew processing market since 2018, Mr. Pham Van Hieu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoang Anh Cooperative (Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province) said that the cooperative was initially established with 7 members. Raw materials are purchased from members and in the old Binh Phuoc province. Products processed from cashews include: cashew fish sauce, cashew wine, cashew cakes, salted roasted cashews, fermented cashew juice, etc.; in which, the main product of the cooperative is cashew cake products that meet 4-star OCOP standards.
According to Mr. Pham Van Hieu, in addition to the support of the state, enterprises and cooperatives need to proactively and actively create their core values through building product brands based on the quality of the enterprise's products. Because, proactively improving quality, building product brands, and enterprise brands are among the factors that enhance competitiveness, ensuring the position of enterprises in the domestic and international markets.
In 2014, Loc Ninh pepper was granted the collective trademark certificate "Loc Ninh Pepper" by the Department of Intellectual Property ( Ministry of Science and Technology ). Since then, farmers in Loc Ninh are currently making efforts to develop the brand by transforming the production model, aiming at clean agriculture, organic agriculture, meeting standards such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP...; constantly improving product quality to bring Loc Ninh pepper closer to domestic and foreign consumers.
In 10 years (2014 - 2024), in Loc Ninh district (old), 24 clean pepper growing clubs have been established with more than 600 members, total area of 645 hectares. Every year, clean pepper growing clubs have supplied nearly 1,180 tons of dry pepper and clean pepper to Nedspice Binh Phuoc Spice Processing Company Limited, contributing to improving the quality and output of pepper, ensuring clean pepper supply for domestic and international markets.

Along with that, the cooperatives in the area have created links in purchasing, processing, exporting, and investing; ensuring close links between the "4 houses" (farmers - businesses - scientists and the State) to create quality and stable products, increasing competitiveness in the market. At the same time, focusing on implementing marketing channels, sales, and brand promotion with specific plans to affirm their position with their own internal strength.
Mr. Pham Thanh Chung, Director of Loc Quang Organic Pepper Cooperative (Loc Quang commune, Dong Nai province) shared that, recognizing pepper as one of the key crops with strengths of the province, the Cooperative has boldly converted from traditional farming to organic farming, applying scientific and technical advances in production, deep processing, diversifying and increasing product value. Currently, the Cooperative has 3 and 4 star OCOP products.
To build a brand of agricultural products with a foothold in the domestic and foreign markets, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Binh Phuoc Ward Nguyen Tho Dam said that the Association regularly organizes consulting activities, guides the building of brands, OCOP product labels, products that meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, and does a good job of supporting the promotion, introduction and consumption of agricultural products.

At the provincial level, Dong Nai develops in a concentrated and sustainable manner, increasing the added value of fruit trees, key industrial crops and improving the quality of OCOP products. Accordingly, the group of key industrial crops focuses on the following types of trees: rubber, cashew, coffee, pepper. For fruit trees, the province focuses on 5 key types of trees: mango, durian, banana, grapefruit, jackfruit.
The province promotes linkages in concentrated production areas; synchronously applies scientific and technological advances in production, preservation and processing of products. Develops products according to value chains, enhances the competitiveness of fruit trees and key industrial crops in the market. At the same time, builds codes for growing areas, traceability, increases export value; mobilizes social resources to invest in developing production and processing of fruit trees and key industrial crops.
With OCOP products, Dong Nai supports consulting and guiding entities with products participating in the OCOP Program on building and registering trademarks, exploiting and protecting intellectual property rights, designing product models, product packaging, printing OCOP stamps, using and labeling products in accordance with regulations. Encouraging entities such as cooperatives, cooperatives, and enterprises with products to participate in the OCOP Program and prioritizing the development of OCOP products from processed products, deep-processed products, products of craft villages, and traditional craft villages.
In addition, the province also supports entities participating in a number of domestic fairs organized by the Central Government and localities in provinces and cities, with priority given to events organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment...
