On December 27, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province started the Long Phuoc resettlement area project, covering an area of 34 hectares. This is the second resettlement area of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project after the Long Duc resettlement area of 30 hectares with a scale of more than 800 apartments deployed earlier this year.
The Long Phuoc resettlement area is 34 hectares wide. Once completed, 1,048 plots of land with an area of 80-125 m2 will be arranged to accommodate 4,000-4,500 people. The total investment of the project is nearly 365 billion VND, with a construction period of 420 days.
The above project is being implemented in the context of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway progress through Dong Nai province being behind schedule due to incomplete site clearance, including resettlement areas.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway (phase 1) is 53.7 km long (the section through Dong Nai alone is 34 km long), with a scale of 4-6 lanes, with a total investment of more than 17,800 billion VND. To implement the project, Dong Nai reclaimed nearly 400 hectares of more than 2,000 households in Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh District.
In the coming time, Dong Nai will build two more resettlement areas in Tam Phuoc and Phuoc Tan wards (Bien Hoa city) to provide accommodation for households in the expressway project.
