Tractor trailer hits many cars and motorbikes stopped at red light

Phu Yen While running on Highway 1, a tractor trailer suddenly hit a series of cars and motorbikes stopped at a red light in Dong Hoa town, injuring two people on the morning of February 4 (December 25).

At around 4:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer with a Binh Dinh license plate was traveling north-south on National Highway 1. When it reached Hoa Thanh commune, Dong Hoa town, it suddenly hit four cars and a motorbike that were stopped at a red light in the opposite direction.

The strong impact pushed the vehicles 5-10 meters away, colliding with each other, causing damage and deformation of the front and rear of the vehicles. Two injured motorcyclists were taken to the emergency room, there were both adults and children in the cars.

After causing the accident, the tractor continued to crash into 27 meters of guardrail and overturned.

According to authorities, at the time of the accident it was dark, the road surface was smooth, visibility was unobstructed and the traffic safety system was in place. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
