According to VietNamNet statistics, Hanoi ranks first in the country in terms of average English score in the 2025 high school graduation exam with 5,784.

Ranked second and third respectively are Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh with average scores of 5.66 and 5.463.

On the other hand, An Giang ranked last in the country with an average English score of 4.93.

Thus, only 7/34 provinces and cities have an average high school graduation exam score in English below 5, including: Gia Lai, Lai Chau, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, Cao Bang, An Giang.

Below is the ranking of high school graduation exam scores in English 2025 in order of 34 new provinces and cities:

According to the plan, the Departments of Education and Training and high schools will complete the recognition of high school graduation no later than July 18.

Departments of Education and Training will announce high school graduation results no later than July 20.

Units will print and send exam result certificates to candidates no later than July 22.

The collection of appeal applications and the preparation of the appeal list will take place from July 16 to July 25. The organization of the exam appeal (if any) will be completed no later than August 3.

In 2025, there will be 1,165,289 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam, an increase of 93,894 compared to 2024 (1,071,395 candidates). Of which, 97.71% (1,138,579 students) will take the exam under the 2018 General Education Program; 2.29% (26,711 students) under the 2006 General Education Program.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27, for both groups of students studying in the two programs.
