According to the financial report for the first six months of 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh City Lottery) recorded net revenue from sales and services reaching VND 5,474 billion, an increase of VND 224 billion compared to the same period last year.
The main revenue of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company comes primarily from the issuance of traditional lottery tickets and scratch-off tickets, reaching 5,376 billion VND. The remaining revenue comes from office rental and printing services. Thus, the company earns nearly 30 billion VND per day from lottery ticket sales.
After deducting operating expenses, in the first half of 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Lottery Company earned a net profit after corporate income tax of over 786 billion VND, an increase of 125 billion VND compared to the same period last year. This is considered the highest profit level for this company in decades.
As of the end of June 2024, the total assets of Ho Chi Minh City Lottery reached VND 3,092 billion, of which cash and bank deposits amounted to VND 1,110 billion.
