From the beginning of 2025 until now, facing the country's comprehensive changes to enter a new era, many Vietnamese people tend to choose to read books to understand themselves and manage their emotions, thereby being able to be confident, develop their abilities, and adapt to the new stage. In particular, not only young people, the number of readers in the 35-50 age group has increased significantly.

Along with the trend of reading books related to healing and understanding, readers are also gradually choosing book collections according to each stage and individual needs. At the end of July and the beginning of August, when students were preparing to return to school, the number of searches for books on learning skills, time management and personal development tended to increase significantly. This shows that reading - listening - accessing books is a way for readers to proactively equip themselves with tools to help them adapt and move forward.

To meet that need, publishers and online reading platforms are now focusing on personalizing the experience for each reader, from clearly dividing book genres according to needs (healing, skills, self-development, entertainment, etc.) to suggesting collections suitable for each time of the year.

In addition, interactive activities such as organizing minigames, thematic reading challenges, and online sharing sessions are also being implemented to create more motivation and connect the reader community. This approach not only helps readers easily find the “right book, at the right time”, but also turns reading into a gentle yet inspiring and long-lasting journey.

“We do not expect readers to change anything major. We only hope that, after each book, readers will understand themselves better and have enough skills and confidence to continue their own journey,” said Phung Thi Nhu Quynh, Deputy Director of Waka E-Book Joint Stock Company.
