Of which, high-quality rice accounts for about 80% of the area and output, concentrated in the communes of the province's sweet and sweetened areas, serving the domestic and export markets. About 80% of rice output (equivalent to 1.5 million tons) meets the ability to cooperate for export.

Accordingly, the recommended groups of varieties with wide adaptability, good domestic consumption and export are: OM5451, OM4900, OM6976, Dai Thom 8, OM18, OM6162, OC10, Nang Keo, Nang Quoc, ST25,... Additional rice varieties: OM380, OM34, OM429, OM2517, OM9577, OM9517, OM9955, RVT, ST20, ST24...

In the coming time, the agricultural sector will continue to organize training courses on production techniques, care and prevention of brown planthoppers, yellow dwarf disease, and stunted leaf curl disease in rice; recommend and replicate production models to reduce costs such as: "3 reductions, 3 increases", "1 must, 6 reductions", ecological technology, applying the 4 correct principles in using plant protection drugs, balanced fertilization; applying machinery to rice production...
