The first working session of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province, term 2025 - 2030

On the afternoon of December 3, the first working session of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province, term 2025 - 2030, took place. Attending the Congress were representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission and 349/350 official delegates who are union officials and exemplary union members representing the beliefs, wills and aspirations of over 115,000 union members in the province.

Mr. Tran Tri Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union delivered the opening speech.

At the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and Delegate Qualification Examination Board; and approved the agenda and working regulations of the Congress.

Speaking at the opening of the first working session, Mr. Tran Tri Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union said: Looking back over the past two years, under the direction and leadership of the Party, directly from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the close attention of the Central Youth Union Secretariat, the facilitation of authorities at all levels, the support and companionship of organizations and enterprises, especially the efforts of all levels of the Youth Union in the whole province, the Youth Union work and the youth movement of the province continue to have many new developments, the rate of youth gathered into the organization is increasing, many meaningful and practical works and tasks are organized and implemented, attracting a large number of union members and youth to participate, creating consensus among the people and in line with the aspirations of the youth.

With the spirit of "Wherever needed, there are youth, wherever difficult, there are youth", Vinh Long youth have taken the initiative to take on new and difficult tasks, actively contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, promoting the role of youth in implementing major policies of the province and movements launched by the Central Youth Union; creating favorable conditions and environment for youth to train, contribute and mature; worthy of being the Party's reliable reserve force, a companion of youth in the province.

At this important event, the Provincial Youth Union Secretary requested delegates to clearly demonstrate their responsibility, work actively, promote the spirit of democracy and intelligence, and comprehensively and objectively evaluate the implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province. From there, determine the goals, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025 - 2030 term that are appropriate, highly feasible and especially address the needs of young people in the context of many challenges...

The Congress also listened to the presentation of the draft political report of the Provisional Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province presented at the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province, term 2025 - 2030; the review report of the Provisional Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province presented at the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province, term 2025 - 2030; a report summarizing comments on the documents of the 1st Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province, term 2025 - 2030 and the documents of the 13th National Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vinh Long province, term 2026 - 2031; and summarizing comments on amending and supplementing the Union Charter.

The Presidium runs the Congress.

At the same time, focus on discussing the contents of strongly innovating the Youth Union's operating methods in accordance with the new situation; improving the quality of union members, building a strong Youth Union; participating in Party and government building and expanding the solidarity front to gather young people. Widely deploy activities to support young people in starting a business, especially innovative start-ups. Improve the quality of the Youth Union's educational work - fostering ideals and aspirations for young people, developing young human resources to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the province...
