Caring for people's lives in the project area

From 2020 to 2025, Ben Hien and Tay Giang communes are the areas of the A Vuong Hydropower Project. AVC supports the construction of 25 gratitude houses and solidarity houses with a total cost of 1.46 billion VND; at the same time, supports the construction of 31 household sanitation works worth 465 million VND.

New houses help poor families have stable housing, creating motivation for people to build better lives.

In addition, AVC is always present in the locality after storms and floods to support the recovery from natural disasters. The company helps repair some damaged items, provides necessities, and coordinates with the government in ensuring the safety of residential areas.

Not only taking care of material life, AVC also cares about the health of people in the project area by coordinating with major hospitals in Da Nang to organize medical examinations, health consultations and free medicine distribution.

During the examinations, people have full access to quality medical services, such as specialized health consultation, general abdominal ultrasound, eye examination, dental examination, etc. Many cases of underlying diseases are detected early, contributing significantly to prevention and treatment.

Free medical examination programs not only help people reduce medical costs, but also raise public awareness of proactive health care and bring high-quality medical services to people in mountainous areas.

In addition, the company pays much attention to local education . Every year, AVC coordinates with schools in Ben Hien and Tay Giang communes to organize the program "Step to school" on the occasion of the new school year. The company sponsors measuring, sewing and giving uniforms to students of Tran Phu Boarding Secondary School (Ben Hien commune), awards scholarships to students with good achievements at Dang Boarding Primary School (Tay Giang commune), gives books and school supplies to students of Ma Cooih Primary School...

These meaningful gifts help children confidently enter the new school year, while also helping parents in mountainous areas reduce the financial burden at the beginning of the year.

One of the meaningful activities that AVC maintains regularly every year is the program of visiting and giving Tet gifts to the Co Tu people in the resettlement areas of the A Vuong Hydropower Project. The gifts include: rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, MSG, ginger jam, etc., which are handed to each household, helping people have more conditions to celebrate Tet more fully.

AVC also shows special respect to village elders and prestigious people in the community through visits and giving gifts at the beginning of the year. This is not only a meaningful activity, but also shows the gratitude of the enterprise to the people who gave up their land and fields to build the A Vuong Hydropower Plant to develop as it is today.

Supporting sustainable livelihoods, accompanying long-term development

Not stopping at the immediate support activities, AVC also implemented many livelihood models to increase long-term income for people in the project area. Notably, the program to restore aquatic resources of hydroelectric lakes through releasing more than 15,000 high-value fish fry such as catfish and black carp into A Vuong lake. This activity contributes to creating rich natural aquatic resources, helping people living along the lake have more livelihoods from fishing.

In Zlao village, Tay Giang commune, AVC coordinated with local authorities to implement a model of growing bamboo for bamboo shoots with a support budget of 200 million VND. This type of tree is suitable for the natural conditions of the highlands, easy to grow, requires little care and brings stable economic value. The model helps people expand the cultivation area, creating a sustainable source of income.

At the same time, in Ben Hien commune, the company supported people to plant 70,000 Yen Bai cinnamon trees, a crop that brings high economic efficiency and is suitable for the local climate. The support of more than 194 million VND not only helps people have a source of quality seeds, but also creates a premise for developing cinnamon material areas in the future.

The livelihood models implemented by AVC are all aimed at long-term sustainability, helping people improve their income based on available natural advantages. This is a clear demonstration of the development orientation associated with corporate social responsibility.
