Strictly handle traffic violations on Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan highway

Before and during the process of putting the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway into operation, ensuring traffic safety on the route is posing urgent requirements, requiring the drastic and synchronous participation of related units.

The 11.5km Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project in Da Nang city is being accelerated to meet the technical traffic conditions on August 19.

Currently, due to the construction process not being completed, some sections have not been paved with asphalt, the road surface is still rough, so vehicles move slowly, keep a safe distance. In particular, dust from the construction site obstructs visibility and greatly affects the safety of traffic participants.

Authorities recommend that construction units take safety measures such as spraying water to reduce dust, installing warning signs, and barricades at dangerous locations.

The Traffic Police Department, Da Nang City Police, directed the Traffic Police stations at Hoa Nhon and Hoa Hiep gates to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle violations.

According to a representative of the Hoa Nhon Gate Traffic Police Station, since the beginning of the year, the unit has detected and recorded 3,120 cases of traffic safety violations on the route, collected 3.4 billion VND to the state budget, and revoked 136 driving licenses.

Among them were 472 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 351 cases of speeding, 26 overloaded trucks and trucks with extended cargo beds, and many other potentially dangerous behaviors.

Major Dang Ngoc Tai, Head of the Hoa Hiep Gate Traffic Police Station, said that, following the direction of the City Police leaders, the station has proactively developed specific plans, closely followed the field, organized patrols and controls, promptly detected and strictly handled violations, collected more than 3.8 billion VND to the state budget, temporarily detained hundreds of vehicles and revoked driving licenses in hundreds of cases.

In addition, the unit promoted propaganda, raised people's awareness, organized many leaflet distribution campaigns, and made mobile announcements to drivers and people on the route.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hong Hai, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, Da Nang City Police, ensuring traffic safety on the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway is an important and continuous task.

The Department has directed stations to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle behaviors that are direct causes of traffic accidents such as: alcohol concentration violations, speeding, not keeping distance, lane encroachment, overloading, etc.

In addition, the use of technical equipment and technology to handle violations through images and remote monitoring will be increased. In particular, propaganda work will continue to be promoted to form a traffic culture and build a safe and civilized highway.
