A flock of hundreds of cranes appeared in the fields of Trung Nam commune.

According to local people, because it is a wild bird and difficult to approach, the exact name of this crane species has not yet been clearly identified. Observation with the naked eye shows that the crane is light gray mixed with white and black; the average weight of each bird is about 1 kg.

During the day, the cranes forage in the rice fields of Huynh Cong Dong village, and at night they sleep in a hut not far away.

This is the first time in Trung Nam commune that a large flock of cranes has appeared and stayed for a long time. The People's Committee of Trung Nam commune has promptly directed monitoring and protection, especially preventing hunting, trapping, shooting, and chasing away that affects the cranes.
