Requesting Hanoi to review and strictly handle parking lots not included in the planning

The Government Office has just issued Official Dispatch No. 9401/VPCP-CN conveying the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha regarding the fire at the parking lot under Vinh Tuy Bridge, Hanoi City.

The dispatch stated that, considering the proposal of the Ministry of Construction in the Report on the implementation of the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 157/CD-TTg on the fire at the parking lot under Vinh Tuy Bridge, Hanoi City, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Hanoi People's Committee to urgently implement the opinion of the Ministry of Construction and promptly remedy the consequences caused by the fire at the parking lot under Vinh Tuy Bridge.

Many parking lots under bridges in Hanoi have been cleared.

The Hanoi People's Committee shall review and strictly handle parking lots and car parks operating on vacant land, not included in the planning of bus stations, parking lots, logistics centers and rest stops in the city, and report to the Ministry of Construction for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister .

The Ministry of Construction urgently synthesizes reports from localities and reports to the Prime Minister according to the direction in Official Dispatch No. 157/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister, and has a comprehensive solution to prevent similar incidents from happening.

Previously, at 1 p.m. on August 30, a fire broke out at the parking lot under Vinh Tuy Bridge on the road leading to the bridge in Hong Ha Ward, Hanoi. As a result, over 500 motorbikes were burned and the structure of Vinh Tuy Bridge was at risk of being affected.

Immediately after the fire broke out, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a telegram from the Prime Minister requesting relevant agencies to clarify the cause, responsibility and promptly remedy the consequences.
