"Love the country through To Huu's poetry"

On the afternoon of October 3, in Hanoi, To Huu Museum respectfully held a ceremony to celebrate the 105th anniversary of poet To Huu's birth (October 4, 1920 - October 4, 2025) with the theme "Loving the country through To Huu's poetry". General Secretary To Lam sent a congratulatory flower basket.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Mai Van Chinh, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; and leaders and former leaders of cultural and press agencies.

At the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang reviewed the life, revolutionary career and poetry of poet To Huu so that everyone could better understand why his poetry is closely connected with the people, with the Party's ideals, with the glorious revolutionary struggle of the nation; to better understand why his verses have been, are and continue to be a great urging and inspiration for revolution, a source of boundless strength for generations of Vietnamese people to stand firmly together, overcome difficulties and challenges and move forward...

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Council of Theory, spoke at the ceremony.

He hopes that: Many cultural figures, intellectuals, artists, especially To Huu's family members and those who love him will continue to contribute more stories, comments, documents, beautiful, touching, and dear memories about comrade To Huu, poet To Huu; creating strong inspiration, belief, and great determination to bring our country into a new era, an era of national growth, as poet To Huu, revolutionary To Huu once wrote moving verses, urging his generation and the generations after him to join the resistance wars, build the great nation, unify the country, the whole country moves towards socialism, all for a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Vu Phuong, son of poet To Huu, expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders and distinguished guests who attended the ceremony to celebrate his father's 105th birthday. He said: "This is also an occasion to mark 5 years of operation of To Huu Museum, which originated from the memorial house that our mother personally designed and built in 2009."

On this occasion, To Huu Museum opened the exhibition "Stamps and Poetry - To Huu's imprint over the years".

The event is an opportunity to pay tribute to a great poetic talent of the nation, and at the same time recall a heroic historical period, when poetry became a spiritual weapon, nurturing faith and aspiration for freedom.
