Ho Chi Minh City leaders visit and pay tribute to outstanding artists

Yesterday, October 17, the delegation of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City visited and met with outstanding artists who have made many contributions to the arts. Leading the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

The delegation visited 5 artists living at Thi Nghe Nursing Center, including: artist Huynh Thanh Tra, artist Mac Can, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Dang and artist Lam Son. After that, the delegation visited writer Xuan Phuong, People's Artist Tra Giang, musician Pham Minh Tuan and artist Le Giang.

The delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts, and expressed their deep respect and gratitude to the artists who have made positive contributions to the country's art in general and Ho Chi Minh City's art in particular. Receiving this sentiment, the artists expressed their joy at receiving the attention of the city's leaders.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, this activity is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of artists in preserving and promoting national cultural values. In addition, the delegation hopes that through the visit, it will further motivate artists to continue to create, spread patriotism and national pride to the public, especially the young generation.
