Love spreads through donated blood

Specialist Doctor I Pham Vinh (born in 1993), Deputy Head of Internal Medicine Department, Hai Duong Rehabilitation Hospital is not only a doctor devoted to his patients, but also a shining example in the voluntary blood donation movement.

Not only active in the blood donation movement, Dr. Pham Vinh is also an exemplary cadre in professional work.

Since childhood, Vinh has nurtured the dream of becoming a doctor. Determined to pursue a career in medicine - a career that requires not only intelligence but also heart, he chose to study at Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Right from his years in the classroom, he was clearly aware of the vital role of blood in medical treatment, especially in critical emergency cases, where each unit of blood can become the difference between life and death for the patient.

With a simple but humane thought, Vinh shared: “I think if I can help someone overcome a critical condition with my own blood, there is no reason not to do it.” From this understanding, he began his journey of voluntary blood donation in a quiet way, but with profound humane values.

Since his first blood donation, Dr. Pham Vinh has donated blood 15 times. Each time he donates blood, he sends his trust and hope to patients. He does not wait for calls or encouragement, but always proactively registers whenever there is a program launched by the hospital or organizations.

Not only stopping at personal actions, he is also an active propagandist, mobilizing relatives and friends to participate in voluntary blood donation. Initially, many people were hesitant and worried because they had never donated blood before, but with perseverance and solid medical knowledge, he explained and convinced so that more and more people understood and joined in the action. Many people continued to donate blood many times after the first time.

Not only is he active in the blood donation movement, Dr. Vinh is also an exemplary cadre in professional work. As Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, he always strives to complete the assigned tasks well. He builds a practical action plan, assigns scientific work, and maximizes the capacity of each member of the department. The spirit of learning, eagerness to learn, and constantly updating professional knowledge to apply in practical treatment is something that colleagues always clearly feel in this young doctor.

Dr. Vinh's dedication and silent contributions are not only recognized within the hospital but also honored by society. In June 2025, Dr. Pham Vinh was honored by the Red Cross Society of Hai Duong province (old) as one of the 100 typical voluntary blood donors of the province. This is a recognition of the meaningful actions that he has persistently carried out over the past time.
