On May 26, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Tea Banh expressed his belief that Cambodia will ensure the successful and complete organization of the 12th Southeast Asian Games for the Disabled (ASEAN Para Games 12) as it did with the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32).
Speaking at the meeting held at Morodok Techo National Stadium, Deputy Prime Minister Tea Banh - who is also Chairman of the National Organizing Committee for the 32nd SEA Games-12th ASEAN Para Games (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) - emphasized that the opening and closing ceremonies of the 12th ASEAN Para Games will take place with many impressive performances.
The CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC President stated that the host country will provide free admission tickets for all spectators, free accommodation and food services for members of sports delegations, as well as free broadcasting rights for media partners.
Mr. Tea Banh affirmed that Cambodia will make every effort to organize the congress to introduce to the world a peaceful and developed Cambodia.
About 2,600 members of sports delegations, including 1,400 athletes from 11 countries in the region, will participate in the 12th ASEAN Para Games, taking place from June 3-9 at Morodok Techo National Stadium, National Olympic Stadium and several other competition venues in the capital Phnom Penh.
A total of 14 sports will be competed by athletes at the 12th ASEAN Para Games, including Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Chess, 5-a-side Football, 7-a-side Football, Judo, Weightlifting, Swimming, Men's and Women's Table Tennis, Men's and Women's Sitting Volleyball, Men's and Women's Wheelchair Basketball and Electronic Sports (E-sports-demonstration sport).-.
