Ben Tre Province Journalists Association meets to celebrate 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

BDK.VN - On June 28, 2025, the Ben Tre Provincial Journalists Association held a meeting to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).

Individuals received the "For the cause of journalism" medal.

At the meeting, members reviewed the 100-year tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism and the 94-year tradition of Ben Tre revolutionary journalism. The Journalists Association awarded the "For the cause of journalism" medal to 3 individuals, commended 3 outstanding individuals, and awarded membership cards to newly admitted members.

On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association also awarded prizes for the contest to learn about the history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism to winning individuals and groups.

The contest to learn about the history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) is organized in the form of answering multiple choice questions including 10 questions about the history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, Ben Tre province's revolutionary journalism and an essay writing part about the personal feelings about the role of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism today.

The organizing committee awarded the first prize to journalist Kim Loan, a member of the Office Association (Ben Tre Province Journalists Association) for winning the first prize in the contest to learn about the history of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism.

After the launch, 58 individuals including journalists, union members, youth, cadres, party members and people living, studying and working in Ben Tre province participated.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to journalist Kim Loan, a member of the Office Association (Ben Tre Province Journalists Association), along with 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 10 Consolation Prizes to individuals. The Special Prize was awarded to the Office Association (Ben Tre Province Journalists Association) which is a collective with many participants and won many high prizes in the competition.
