10,000 people participate in the 7th National Student Startup Day

On the afternoon of April 20, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, the Ministry of Education and Training held the closing ceremony of the 7th National Student Startup Festival and awarded prizes to the 7th Student Startup Ideas Competition.

According to the Summary Report on the Organization of the 7th National Student Startup Festival, during the 3 days of the Festival, seminars and forums were held, attracting a large number of delegates and students to participate and learn. Exhibition booths displaying contest products and startup ideas attracted more than 10,000 visitors in the 2 opening days.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi said: The National Startup Festival for students takes place at a very special time with the strong transformation of the country, especially the aspiration for a strong country, a country entering a new era, is the driving force for the startup journey of students.

Individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in supporting students to start businesses received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training.

According to the Deputy Minister, in the competition, there will be award-winning projects and there will be projects that do not win awards, but what is important is the journey of students and teachers diligently researching, passionately and fueling the dream of starting a business.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi expressed her gratitude to the leaders of the Party and Government for issuing Project 1665 in a systematic and rigorous manner so that it could become an annual event held over the years.

The Deputy Minister also thanked the students, educational institutions, and departments of education and training for bringing to the festival projects with many new colors in the nation's startup journey.

Also at the closing ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in supporting students to start businesses in the period 2017 - 2025; and also awarded prizes to the 7th "Students with Startup Ideas" Contest.
