(VOVTV) - On the morning of April 19, 11 helicopters of Air Division 371 - Air Defense - Air Force participating in the parade and demonstration flight in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory landed safely at Dien Bien Phu airport.
11 helicopters Mi8, Mi 17, Mi 171, Mi 172 were all repainted in the same military green color (including 9 official, 2 reserve, 1 search and rescue)
This morning all 11 planes landed safely on the old runway of Dien Bien Phu airport in good weather conditions.
According to technical staff of Air Division 371, the flight time from Hanoi to Dien Bien takes about 2 hours.
To participate in this special mission, 11 helicopters with about 60 pilots will be mobilized.
After the helicopter landed safely, the technical staff conducted a general inspection of the aircraft.
This is the first time the air defense and air force has used a large number of helicopters for a demonstration flight to celebrate this event.
