The school has more than 30 students at risk of failing, but more than 99% of students pass the graduation exam.

GD&TĐ - Thanks to objective assessment of students' abilities and appropriate teaching adjustments, a school in Dak Lak has helped more than 99% of students pass graduation exams.

On July 19, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong - Principal of Le Quy Don High School (Buon Ma Thuot Ward, Dak Lak Province) said that in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the whole school had 583/584 students passing the graduation exam (without re-examination), reaching a rate of 99.83%.

Notably, just over 3 months before the exam, through tests, assessments, and classifications from the subject group, the school identified 32 students in the high-risk group for failing graduation. Many of these students consistently scored around 3 points per subject despite being tested multiple times.

Tran Nguyen Quynh Anh - a student of class 12A7 (village 4, Buon Ma Thuot ward) was moved when she officially passed the graduation exam with: Literature 5.5; Math 5.5; Physics 6.5; English 4.25.

“For today’s results, first of all, I would like to thank the Principal for always caring for and encouraging weak students. I am also grateful to the homeroom teacher Ho Vu Dieu Linh and the subject teachers for their enthusiastic support, helping us make a review plan, consolidate knowledge, skills and regain confidence,” Quynh Anh shared.

According to Quynh Anh, after finishing 11th grade, she was encouraged and supported by her teachers with extra tutoring because she could not keep up with her friends. At the beginning of 12th grade, in the A01 group tests (Math, Physics, English), her scores rarely exceeded 3 points/subject, continuing to be in the group of 32 students at risk of failing graduation.

“In the first mock exam, I only got 2-3 points per subject. But in the second mock exam (April), I got above average in all subjects. Thanks to that, I was confident enough to enter the official exam,” Quynh Anh said.

Similarly, Nguyen Trung Hieu – a student of class 12A7 – also thanked his teachers and family for encouraging him to overcome difficulties. “After 2 mock exams, my scores were below average. With timely reminders from my teachers and family and opportunities to study, I tried harder and finally qualified to graduate from high school,” Hieu excitedly shared.

According to the assessment from the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training, although not achieving 100% graduation, the way Le Quy Don High School works clearly demonstrates the "command from the heart" of the teacher.

The teaching staff has a clear understanding of each student's circumstances, abilities, strengths and weaknesses, and from there adjusts teaching and review plans accordingly. More importantly, the close coordination between the school and family has motivated students to overcome barriers, confidently complete exams and achieve results beyond expectations.
