Tien Phong Golf Championship is an annual activity organized by Tien Phong newspaper to promote and contribute to attracting stable finance for the activities of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund. The above funding source helps the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund have enough resources to award tens of billions of VND in scholarships, incentive bonuses, and support money to groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in the fields of: Study, scientific research , start-up, production labor, security - defense, culture, sports, and volunteer social activities in recent years.
Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet awarded the golf team for their excellent performance at the 32nd SEA Games.
Through 6 seasons of organization, Tien Phong Golf Championship has received positive feedback from experts, golfers and fans nationwide about the organization, professional quality and humane values for the community. The tournament has welcomed and engraved the names of 6 different champions on the rotating trophy, including many young golfers who have become famous in the Vietnamese and international golf community such as SEA Games 32 bronze medalist Nguyen Anh Minh or 2023 national champion Nguyen Nhat Long.
In the 7th season in 2023, Tien Phong Golf Championship brings together about 160 golfers to compete in one day (November 4) on the Kings Course at BRG Kings' Island Golf Resort (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi ). This is the 7th consecutive season that BRG Group has accompanied the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund to organize this meaningful tournament.
To further enhance the professional quality of the tournament, aiming for high professionalism, as well as enhancing the significance of the tournament in supporting the development of young Vietnamese talents, the Organizing Committee of Tien Phong Golf Championship organized a separate tournament for the top male and female golfers in Vietnam under 18 years old to compete.
Young golfers who have won the Tien Phong Golf Championship, won the National Golf Championship and topped their age groups at the VGA Junior Tour stages will have their entry fees covered by the Organizing Committee. Golfers under 18 years old who are not in the above categories will also receive 60% of their entry fees from the Organizing Committee.
The tournament is the place where many Vietnamese golf talents grow up.
Participating in a tournament with a separate tournament for young talents is an opportunity for young golfers to have more opportunities to compete and improve their competition experience in order to accumulate experience, be ready and confident to compete in high-level tournaments, such as the National Golf Championship as well as other international golf tournaments.
Not only that, in line with the Fund's spirit of supporting young talents to develop and perfect themselves, thereby bringing glory to the country, this year, the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund decided to award 50 million VND to the Vietnam Golf team for their excellent performance at the 32nd SEA Games last May.
